Dogs are afraid of using this ramp when they getting old or injured, so they need more trainning and will get rid of it.
- Step 1: Place the ramp flat on the ground to allow your pet to inspect the ramp. Lead your dog across using treats and praise. Give treats frequently to encourage your pet. Remember that this is a new experience for your pet, so patience is key!
- Step 2: Once your pet is comfortable with the ramp, move your training session to the vehicle or location that will be used.
- Step 3: Using treats and praise frequently, guide your pet up and down the ramp until they are happy and comfortable walking on their own.
- Step 4: When your pet is walking up and down the ramp independently, treats are no longer needed unless desired. Pack up your ramp and hit the road!

I got the extra large one. My little dogs keep rolling down the car ramp when they try to run up...this is something you can make on your own, yet this is cheaper than the cost of supplies and time to make it;) This one is about two inches wider than the car ramp I was using and the extra little steps all along the way will make it easier for the dogs to have a step to use to stay balanced and still moving upwards. My dogs are giving it mixed reviews, in that one dog loves it, he's older and very used to me trying to make things for him to run up to the bed.....the other dog is a newer rescue and needs to be convinced that he will like anything ;). I am sure this one will come around too:). Mom loves it, even though it takes up the entire side of the bed, its not about mom, it's about the fur kids!
The product was great and attractive. However, my senior dog would not use it no matter what. After 3 days I sadly returned it. It was the best ramp that I have ever seen.
My aging dog was starting to need help getting up to the bed, and it is not good for little dogs to jump off of high surfaces, due to the compression into their joints over time. My dog took to this ramp quickly. I lured him up and down a couple of times using treats, and now he easily goes up and down to the bed with no issues. I am very happy that I got this for him. Although I keep it up the whole time, it easily flattens and could be stored under a bed or couch. It seems well made, and I picked this one because it has extra ridges in addition to the bumps on the walking surface, which gives an animal more traction. I definitely do recommend this product.
Love how you can change the height so easy. My dachshund uses it with the couch. I gave treats to show how to use it and she likes it.
My dachshund needed something to help him get on and off the couch. This fit the bill. Several adjustable heights are nice. The carpeted ridges help him grip the climb. Just make sure you secure the ramp height adjuster as it may come loose. But I feel it's very safe.
